Room 6: Years Three & Four

Welcome to Room 6.
My name is Joseph Hunt. I am a born and raised Wellingtonian who is passionate about sports, art, and music. I am beginning my first year of teaching, after completing my graduate diploma in primary school teaching. I am very excited to begin my teaching career at a school that I have heard many great things about, and am looking forward to helping my students make progress in their learning.
Room 6 is made up of predominantly year four ākonga, with a handful of year three tamariki joining them. My aim is to further develop skills relating to independence and self management, making sure that students have the right tools to achieve success. Manaakitanga is a value that underpins the culture in Room 6, and is something that I believe to be paramount in a successful learning environment.
