Parking & Road Safety
We endeavour to have road safety procedures to ensure the safety of the children attending Linden School.
There are student road patrols on duty, with an adult, at the school crossing every day. There are clearly marked no stopping yellow lines on the road. Stopping here could result in a parking ticket.
Please be a good role model and use the school crossing on Ranui Terrace.
All children are required to wear a sunhat when playing outside or as part of a physical education programme during terms 1 & 4.
Our Parent and Friends group holds a sausage sizzle once a month (dependent on volunteers) to raise funds for the school. Lunch order forms can be found on the notices page. Please note that late orders will not be accepted.
What to Wear to School
We don't have a compulsory uniform so tidy casual clothing is appropriate school wear. We ask that all items of clothing, lunch boxes and sun-hats be labelled so as to make it easier to return lost property.
Every child has compulsory homework which includes reading and mathematics basic facts practice.
Students will be issued with information regarding stationery prior to the start of the new year. The class stationery lists are available here. Some replacement items are available from the school office throughout the year.
School visits in the New Entrant/Year One classroom can be arranged by contacting the office and arranging a time that suits you. You can make as few or as many visits as you feel your child needs. Please phone the school or talk to the teacher to make arrangements.
Other visits to the school are welcomed - please phone the school to ensure someone is available to take you around the school and answer any of your questions.
How you can help
We welcome parent involvement in the school. There are several ways you might help out. In the classroom, making or maintaining resources, accompanying a class trip, providing transport for swimming and joining our road patrol team as an adult supervisor.
Parent & Friends
A parent and friend group supports Linden School and always welcome new members.. Please enquire at the office for the current contact number.
