We build a community of learners who drive their learning, strive hard during their learning,

and then thrive on their successes.

We are a small community school that has been serving the Linden and Tawa area since 1952. With a long and proud history the school has pupils from New Entrant level to Year 6. With students from a wide range of cultures we are truly multicultural and represent a real slice of New Zealand    Learn more

Linden School is uniquely placed within the Tawa Community. We support whanau with free school lunches (a real treasure in these tough economic times), and we relish the opportunity to celebrate our learning each year with a whole school trip. This year we are visiting the Lego exhibition at Takina Events Centre in Wellington City.

Exciting Changes for 2024:

We welcome two new teachers:  Ms Lily Zee-Verner (in Room 3) and Mr Joseph Hunt (in Room 6).

We are excited to announce that every day will be a free hot meal day for all of our students.  Our students have always enjoyed the hot meals so we have coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Kapura so that we will be serving hot meals every school day.  What a treat!

Another change is the break times.  The hot lunches will now be served early (at 11am) and so the first break will be from 11:15 to 11:45am.  The second break will be from 1:00 to 1:30pm.

Swimming for Term 1 will be on Thursdays.
